Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Qirsh. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
On this page
1. Your content, your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the trips, expenses, amounts, receipt photos, traveler names, and any other information you enter into Qirsh.
Only add other people as travelers, or share a trip with them, where you have a legitimate reason to do so. When you invite someone to a shared trip, you are choosing to give them access to that trip's contents — do so responsibly and with respect for others' privacy.
Qirsh is a tool for organizing shared costs. How you use it is your responsibility, not ours.
2. Expense tracking is not financial advice
Qirsh helps you record, split, and settle shared expenses, and it computes balances and suggested settle-up transfers for your convenience. It is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a payment service — it does not move money between people.
You are responsible for verifying amounts, splits, currencies, and settlements before relying on or acting on them. Any real-world payments between travelers happen outside the app and are entirely between the people involved.
3. AI output is not guaranteed
Qirsh's optional AI features — dictating an expense by voice, scanning a receipt, and the natural-language "Ask" assistant — are produced by on-device machine-learning models. These features generate editable drafts and answers that may contain errors: a misheard amount, a misread receipt, a wrong currency, or a misunderstood question.
Always review AI-generated drafts and answers before saving or relying on them. Qirsh is not responsible for consequences arising from inaccurate AI output. (The app's balance and settlement math itself is computed in ordinary code, not by the AI — but the values that feed it are only as accurate as what you confirm.)
4. Shared trips
Shared trips use Apple's iCloud sharing. When you share a trip, the participants you invite can see that trip's contents. New participants are view-and-download only by default; you may grant a participant permission to submit expenses. You are responsible for who you invite and for what they can access. You can stop sharing a trip, or remove a participant, at any time.
5. Prohibited uses
You agree not to use Qirsh to:
- Violate applicable laws or the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual-property rights.
- Store or share another person's personal or financial information without a lawful basis or their consent.
- Harass, defame, threaten, or endanger others, or exploit or endanger minors.
- Attempt to use the on-device AI features to generate unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive content.
We may disable access or remove features at our discretion if your use violates this clause.
6. No warranty
Qirsh is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
Use at your own risk. The developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from use of, or inability to use, this app — including lost data, incorrect totals or settlements, disputes between travelers, device issues, or damages from relying on AI-generated content.
7. Privacy
Your trips are stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your own private iCloud database — not on any server we operate. AI processing happens on your device. Qirsh does not collect analytics, telemetry, or personal data. For full details on data handling, iCloud, permissions, subscriptions, and children's privacy, see the Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party components
Qirsh builds on open-source software and machine-learning model weights published under their respective licenses. Using Qirsh does not transfer any rights in those components to you beyond what their own licenses grant.
Qirsh's on-device AI features are built on open-source software distributed under the Apache License 2.0. Currency exchange rates are provided by ExchangeRate-API.
The full text of the Apache License 2.0 is available at apache.org/licenses. These attributions are also shown in the app under Settings → About → Terms & Conditions.
9. Subscriptions and billing
Qirsh Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's in-app purchase system. The subscription's exact title, length (billing period), and price — including price per unit where applicable — are shown on the purchase screen inside the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can view the renewal price and manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. No refunds are provided for unused portions of a current subscription period except where required by law.
10. Age and jurisdiction
Qirsh is not intended for users under 13. By using this app you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and that your use of the app is lawful where you are.
If any part of these terms is unenforceable under your local law, the remainder still applies.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated with future versions of the app. When they are, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
